McFarland on Ohio State:
Ohio State has always been up there. Coach Hartline is gone, but Ryan Day is still there and they are still Ohio State. I know a lot of people up there, they have always treated me well, and I still like them a lot, even with coach Hartline gone.”
A&M, Oregon and LSU were the other schools mentioned. Plans to take his official visits before committing.

Ok this makes sense now:
While the move may sound sudden, it’s actually a return to the original plan. McFarland entered high school as a 2027 prospect but stayed back during the COVID-19 period while in middle school. Now, he’s moving back into the class he was set to graduate with all along.

This isn't unexpected. WR is not a high budget position this cycle. '28 is where you'll see some fireworks there.

Ohio State was expected to have a five-star visitor in town this coming weekend. After said wideout took a visit to Texas A&M, his trip to Columbus will no longer happen.

The expectation was that IMG Academy (FL) WR Eric McFarland would be in Columbus this weekend, but that’ll no longer happen. According to Jeremy Birmingham of Lettermen Row, McFarland won’t be taking an official to Columbus following a visit to Texas A&M.
