McFarland on Ohio State:
Ohio State has always been up there. Coach Hartline is gone, but Ryan Day is still there and they are still Ohio State. I know a lot of people up there, they have always treated me well, and I still like them a lot, even with coach Hartline gone.”
A&M, Oregon and LSU were the other schools mentioned. Plans to take his official visits before committing.

Ok this makes sense now:
While the move may sound sudden, it’s actually a return to the original plan. McFarland entered high school as a 2027 prospect but stayed back during the COVID-19 period while in middle school. Now, he’s moving back into the class he was set to graduate with all along.
