2018 FL (IL) DB Houston Griffith (Notre Dame Signee)

2018 CB Houston Griffith
Town: Chicago,IL/IMG Academy (FL)
Size: 6’1/192
Offers: Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan State, Notre Dame, etc
Thoughts: “It was a good visit. I watched practice and talked with Coach Meyer, Coombs, and Schiano. They made it clear to my family and I that they want me to be a Buckeye and will continue to recruit me hard. They are one of the schools at the top of my recruitment.”

Just stupid that a top 50-100 player (with a fantastic pedigree) might not be a take right now. Different level.

I am not sure I could see us turning down Griffith if he really wanted in...even assuming we lead for Cook. Jmo but you take both if you can and figure it out later. Or just take Griffith's verbal and keep recruiting Cook in the meantime.

I thought Griffith was seen more as a S and he would affect Woodbey(who seems to he enjoying playing th twitter game with fans) or Proctor.

I think the only sure-fire safety in that group is Proctor. I have Griffith projected as a corner and Woodbey can play corner or safety...and also appears to be visiting every school except OSU, so as I said in the Woodbey thread, I think you take Griffith now if he wants in. Woodbey is looking around regardless and I do not think his commitment would affect Woodbey. And in terms of overall talent, I have Griffith right up there with Woodbey, albeit I have Woodbey just slightly higher.
