Texas will get a big boost with a win this weekend.

It doesn't matter where LSU is for now...if they win all the rest of their games, they deserve to be up there, but they'll probably lose this weekend...

How about Notre Dame's computer scores:

16. Notre Dame 1 0 1 0 3 4

That's 2-25's, 1-23, 1-22, 2-NR's... Ouch! I'm not a fan of ND but they are definitely a top 15 team.

A lot of those wins are looking a lot less impressive as the season wears on (at least to a computer), as the opponents they beat chalk up the Ls.

After doing a quick review of their schedule to refresh my memory, I can see how the computers could rank them that low... their only "quality" win is against scUM and obvously the computers don't care about moral victories or close losses. Their schedule is fairly weak here on out, with the exception of Tennessee, so it is possible that they end the season with a low computer score, even if they win out.

wow BCS really needs to go in a bad way:(

What would you prefer? No BCS and let the bowls invite whoever they want to invite, and then you have 2-4 teams who all claim they were national champions?

The BCS isn't perfect. There are a few things that I would love to change/add/delete. But they've gotten the pointy end of the stick the last couple of years, with 3 1-loss teams in 2003, and 3 undefeated teams in 2004. The BCS figured which 2 teams should play in the BCS National Championship game, and then you get a team of crybabies who didn't make that bowl game. It's better than before the BCS, when all three teams would have played in three different bowls, and they'd all be crybabies, insisting that they should be called "National Champions."

(By the way, I'm sure I'd be one of those crybabies if Ohio State gets shut out of the National Championship Bowl Game.)

Like I said, I don't think the BCS is perfect. But I don't think it "needs to go" anywhere.

I am just happy to see UCLA back in the mix for once... it has been awhile! For the time being they deserve their spot... I mean they are still undefeated. And you also have to think that a lot of the teams ahead of us still have to play each other. Rankings don't mean shit until the end of the year.
