It will be interesting to see how Durham and Jamel Turner manage to fit into the defensive scheme. I had envisioned Turner playing the LEO role at OSU and it seems strange to have two kids in the same class for that position. Heck, if you read some of the articles on J.T. Moore, he has said that the coaches have talked to him about both DE and LB.

Originally I did too, but he didn't grow any after his sophmore year and his closing speed and range are amazing. I like Turner at WILL, McVey at SAM, Moore at DE, and Durham at LEO. Also, you have to wonder about our odds with Hicks (if you haven't already)...no way we take 4 LB's this year, even if one plays LEO, considering our # of 'ships to give.

Minues all that hub-bub, great news to see another Texan get an offer and commit. West Lake is the real deal and consistently is in the top 10 in the country. Hopefully we can get into that school. Though it's been said a lot, I love the Carpenter comparisons. Also, that shuttle is most definetly sick. I ran a 4.16 at OSU camp and had the fastest time at camp. If he runs a 4.2 as big as he is...what explosion. Welcome aboard David!

Anthony Schlegel (who was a HS wrestler as well, IIRC).

Correct, Schlegal came to us from the Air Force Academy after his Soph year, and originally hails from Tejas.

I like that he is so talented in wrestling, the quick hands and feet needed in that sport translate very well to the grid iron.

Awesome get for the Bucks!

The BPRT has been talking about how this whole situation might impact Hicks and a couple of us think the Durham offer has nothing to do with Hicks...they are completely different kinds of players. I could see 3 LBs in this class if they are Turner, McVey and Hicks. Moore and Durham will play with their hand in the dirt, IMO.
