There were many great albums I left off of the classic rock poll because I felt they didn't quite fit the genre. This poll is for those groups/albums that were great to but more popish than classic rock.

FCA. Still my favorite album ever and I still listen to it almost daily (listen to "Do You Feel Like We Do?" on driving home from my workouts to unwind). Also like Boston - Boston and Kansas - Leftoverture.

Honorable mention: Wings - Band on the Run

Oh yes, I forgot that one, one of my favorites. The first time I got stoned was to "Let Me Roll It", me listened to it about 15 times laughing our buts off because we were rolling joints.

Hotel California by the Eagles. Arguably the greatest rock album ever by arguably the greatest rock band ever.
I still listen to it often and am lusting after a Hi Res digital download. Or a Japanese CD issue. :tongue2:

I wore out Bat Out of Hell growing up. Meat Loaf had quite the range before shredding his vocal chords and hitting the 8-ball.

Kids that weren't even born when that album came out know all the lyrics to Paradise by the Dashboard Light. It's a karaoke staple.

As for 'Any Early Chicago Album,' that list begins and ends with Chicago II. 25 or 6 to 4 is easily tops pre-Cetera-penned-ballads.

I had the album with Make me Smile, I just don't remember which one it was

Chicago II, part of the suite that includes So Much to Say, So Much to Give and Colour My World. :wink2:

Stuck in a tie between Bat out of Hell and Hotel California. Growing up in the 70s, BOH kind of told our story, and Hotel California....no explanation. necessary! The best thing to ever happen to the Eagles? - Joe Walsh!

I think I know the words to every song on "The Stranger." I have every Billy Joel album ever made all the way back to "Cold Spring Harbor."

That being said, I'm surprised by the omission of what to me is the best album ever made, which is Pink Floyd's "The Wall." albeit very late 70's. The only other album that I would put in it's class would be 'Dark Side Of The Moon." Obviously 'm a huge "Floyd" fan. Again, JMO.

Peace
