Its amazing how little credit Bjork gets from the mainstream. The Sugercubes were cool back in the day too. She's an icon in her native Iceland
Yep! :) The movie "Dancer in the Dark" and the videos of various songs go a long way toward making her work more accessible. So much thought goes into her work - it helps to understand the underlying ideas. "Human Behavior" is one of my favorites, and pretty mainstream. "Vökuró" is beautiful.

I think most people tend to form an idea of her work on a few impressions, but the variety is tremendous.

I agree on Bjork. I do have one album (Post) and it's decent, but Dancer in the Dark and the accompanying music was much more enjoyable for me. Well, maybe enjoyable isn't the right word. I'm pretty sure I ended up in the fetal position under my bed after watching that movie. :sad2:
