Took this on my phone in California last month. My 9 year old was watching the surfers. Obviously I edited it some, but still thought it was pretty cool for a cell phone shot.

It was magnificent to behold. We were so excited when we started to see 1-2 sun rays, then it progressed into this marvelous scene.

Camera nerd notes:

Having rented and used it for 1.5 weeks, I can confirm that the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 IS II is unreal. I've used the 24-105mm f4 L quite a bit and it's a great value, especially as a kit lens, but the softness on the edges is noticeable at 24mm. The 24-70 II is absurdly sharp across the entirety of the image. Having dropped a lot of money on other gear it's not in the cards for awhile but it comes highly recommended.
