And out of that last batch, here's another one. Only wish the shutter would have been a little faster, but the very minute motion blur isn't enough to really take away from the whole thing.
I'm starting to process and post the 300+ pictures I got at the 3 Doors Down/ZZ Top concert Saturday night. I'm surprised at how many look to be "postable" at first glance.
I have a Sony Alpha A200 with 18-70 and 75-300mm lenses. I always shoot in RAW now and post-process in either Lightroom or Photoshop (Lightroom for mass batches like these concert photos, Photoshop for lower numbers or photos that I really have to work on stuff), which is how I really bring out the colors in the pictures. The next glass purchase is either a super wide angle or a fisheye, hopefully before my trip out west next year.
EDIT: I never really go for anything other than realism when I process my photos. I've not been able to get the hang of HDR anyway yet. The way you see my photos is the way I saw them through my own eyes/viewfinder, maybe pushing the colors a bit to make certain things stand out.
I've finally got around to finishing out the 3 Doors Down pictures and have started processing the ZZ Top pictures. This is the first one posted (and my favorite so far).
Just returned from an Alaskan vacation. Took a flightseeing tour of Denali and Mt McKinley. It also included a glacier landing right next to the base camp for climbers. Needless to say, I was impressed.
Alaska is probably going to elude me for a very long time, but I intend on getting there with my camera before I die. The mountains and the snow are absolutely beautiful.
Probably the funniest moment during the ZZ Top concert. Billy had been playing for a good 15-20 seconds (at least) without strumming and asked us if we wanted to know how he did it. The answer was...
