Thanks again for all the advise, Mike. After going in and testing out some camera's at Best Buy, I ended up going with the more inexpensive Canon Powershot ELPH 110HS. Like you said, Interface played a big roll in the decision. I did not like the feel, or the button and menu layout of the more expensive ELPH 310.


I'm looking forward to getting some good pics next week in Gatlinburg, TN, while on vacation

Nice. Is that from the blind inside the songbird aviary?

You certainly had better lighting than we did yesterday. We didn't even take the camera with us. Never even rained.

That makes me miss the Columbus Zoo. Animal Kingdom is pretty decent, and I can go to Busch Gardens Tampa, but neither have exhibits for gorillas and elephants that come close to Columbus'. That, and I practically grew up with the entire collection of the gorillas at the Columbus Zoo, so that also ups my appreciation/attachment of the zoo.

Took this on my trip up to Massachusetts back in September, which included seeing a Yankees/Red Sox game. This is, of course, the Red Seat. Our seats were down just beyond the first plate edge of the net behind home plate and two rows behind the field boxes, amazing seats.
