If you haven't seen the movie 20 Bucks I recommend it. I first saw it at an arties theater back in the early 90's at some art house with a projector in the basement.

That's a classic scene but one of those that makes me uncomfortable every time I watch it, they took the Tommy character a little too far

Apparently, according to people who claim to have known the guys who this movie was based on, the real Tommy Desimone was actually a lot worse than his film depiction. He also was apparently a big guy, like over 6 foot tall and 220 lbs or something like that.
