Our high school gym teacher looked like the Heat Meiser (sp?). Some girls in my class used to sing that every time he walked by. It still makes me laugh.

Christmas Vacation ( I actually think it's the best of the three vacation movies)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the cartoon)

Thump nice to see the mention of Emmit Otter....I didn't think anyone else had even heard of that one

Definitely National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - the movie so good/bad crass and moving it saved all the family from laboring through Hallmark moments for evermore.

Ellen: Clark, Audrey's frozen from the waist down.

Yeah, props to that. Hands down, my favorite (it's Emmet, by the way...).

I love all the old classic animated specials, but Rudolph has to be next on the list. Does it get any better than the Island of Misfit Toys?

I also used to love John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together. Haven't seen it for years - I don't believe they ever put it out on video or DVD, but I have the old LP soundtrack. Good stuff.

Edit: Just FYI - A Christmas Story is on TNT tonight at 8:00 and Die Hard is on Encore tonight at 8:00 and the Original Rudolph is on CBS at 8:00.
