Favorite Caribbean Island

There was a Carnival ship docked next to us (on the Disney Dream) in Nassau and someone had put an Ohio State flag on their verandah door. That was pretty nice to see, though I never saw the occupants to give them an O-H. As for islands, we didn't get off at Nassau, so my favorite right now is Castaway Cay (my first cruise).

Our favorite island is Virgin Gorda (British Virgin Islands). Quiet, no cruise ship pier (although cruise people do take boats over and swarm the Baths at least once a week).
Lots of folks charter boats for the week and sail island to island. Great snorkeling among the boulders, some hiking and rock climbing if you like, diving and snorkeling. No direct route there, so it isn't overrun with people.
Couple of spots will turn on the Buckeye games if you want (Mineshaft and Bath & Turtle). We're going for our 8th visit in March. Can't wait!

ive spent a good deal of time on many Caribbean/Atlantic islands. Barbados not only offers great charm, private, and not-so-private spots, beaches, nightlife and scenery but also includes locals that are the most welcoming I've met anywhere.

We stopped here over Christmas a few years ago on a Star Clipper cruise. I was blown away.

We just got back from the Bahamas. We got off in Freeport for a tour a guy came up to me with a buckeye hat on and asked where I got my ugly hat........ Obviously I don't have to say what hat I was wearing. We had a few goes at each other and than talked off and on throughout the day during the tour. Nice guy.

We spent the day at the Atlantis hotel in Nassau. It was beautiful. Nice private beach. Water park was awesome. Expensive as hell, but worth doing once.
