Favor to Ask: Take Bible Trivia Quiz

I had to go back to our minister's teaching for this one. I've listened to his entire sermon on Melchizedek and he states that he was a judge because "he was involved in defeating the enemies of that day". I guess this is applying the concept of a Judge as would be found in people like Gideon, Deborah, Samson, etc. If you are interested in a better explanation, I'll ask him for something more concrete than this.

If you are interested in hearing the teaching go to:

Play the November 12, 2005 teaching, which starts around the 8:00 minute of the track.
I'll have to check that out when I get some quiet time. Kids are all around me at the moment.

Despite the KJV (which is not the best translation of the ancient texts), I'll stand by this one as the Pauline authorship is disputed and the letter does not specificially state it as such. Personally, I favor the idea of Paul as the author, but I think there are sound reasons to argue for Barnabas as well.
I agree 100%. I've spotted several translation errors in the KJV. I'm just saying that some people have never seen anything else, although that number has been reduced considerably in the last 20 years with the proliferation of the various editions of the NIV.

I would recommend that anyone that studies a verse, look up it's meaning by the original greek/hebrew (whichever the case may be) roots.

See a great resource for the Hebrew version below:
