My point is that Ginn isn't done getting faster the kid is 18 years old. When Ginn puts on more muscle(not too much) he will get considerably faster. Your comparing athletes in their prime to a kid that hasn't reached his. I will still put Ginn in my top 3.

I know its bad, but I figured it was a fitting post.

What I am saying is that Sanders would readily admit that Darrell Green was faster than himself.
Darrell Green is easily my favorite speedster before 2004. The fact that he was still insanely fast late in his 30s was unbelievable. That's why I'd put him on my top-5 list of fastest players ever. Because not only did Deion admit he was faster (which is a lot considering that dims the neon intensity of Deion), but he kept doing it for two decades.

"If they don't know that Ginn is faster than Gonzalez and Fox, then I have serious concerns about our staff."---Mililani Buckeye

Guys, lets put this in perspective.

How often does a football player, other than on a go route run 40 yards let alone 20 yards straight in one direction without getting bumped, nudged, make a cut or some other football maneuver.

40 times are for spreadsheets. Why else would they take 40 times on lineman? Surely that does not matter very much. Fast is nice but not necessary.

What good was Ginn's speed at the beginning of the year when he could not catch the ball.

World class speed is no good if you can't do the little things to make the speed matter. If that were the case then Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis would have made a lot on money in the NFL. Jerry Rice was never the fastest but there is not doubt he is the best of all time.

Lets start a new thread...Who is the slowest Buckeye ever???

Go Bucks

The last 45 yards of Ginn's slant pass TD against MSU and the last 48 yards of his punt TD against Michigan.

Kidding aside, your points are spot on. Ginn's football speed is unmatched by anyone in college football.

I'd put Ginn up against Moss any day of the week. The kid is a natural sprinter. I have watched and participated in Track & Field the majority of my life AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE WITH BETTER SPRINTER FORM. The only knock on him is that he dips his head or leans it to one side (this may be because he is not running in a straight line)sometimes when he has a football uniform on. He doesn't do that when he runs track.
ive been saying it since his first time i saw him really run (his first punt return for a td). his gate reminds me of michael johnson minus the gold shoes . he looks like he is out for a jog until you see him blow past someone like they are standing still. he really is a once in a lifetime player. as someone else said, most guys who are world class track stars aren't football players. this guy is the exception to the rule. he is a track guy with increadible football instincts.

hopefully he has a work ethic to match the raw ability.
