Week 14 was a terrible one for the quarterback position. Week 15 might be worse.
Tom Brady (
Broncos),
Drew Brees (
Cardinals) and
Andrew Luck(
Vikings) all face top-five defenses on the road.
Ben Roethlisberger doesn't have as bad a matchup (Bengals), but has been atrocious on the road.
I'm doing everything I can to bench Roethlisberger, and I'll avoid Brady and Luck where I can as well. Brees is the really interesting one because of all of the questionable injuries in that game.
If
Michael Thomas and Max Unger are out and
Tyrann Mathieu returns for Arizona, I can't see any way I'd play Brees. If all three go the other way he's a borderline top-five option. In other words, you really need to check out QB rankings on Sunday morning.
Questionable QBs in great spots
If you've decided to bench one of those elite quarterbacks for a lesser option with a better matchup, you're in luck. Week 15 offers multiple options.
My favorite as of now is Tyrod Taylor. Taylor has the best matchup there is against the Browns, and had the high floor that comes along with a mobile quarterback. He's still not without risk because the weather is a concern and so is the game script.
