in the streets it was 3:1 buckeyes, in the stadium 57% were irish

No way, maybe Buckeye fans. I will upload my pictures tonight and let the pictures tell the story. Maybe you had different seats with a different view if so post the pictures because that shocks me that you were there and say there were more irish there.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY THE CROWD FAVORED THE IRISH IN NUMBERS.

I had a pretty good view and the most optimistic numbers for the Domers would be 50/50. The problem is that we dominated the game so much that our fans were very, very involved. The four corners and Rudy chants were so cool that you got the feeling it was a majority OSU crowd. I would not be surprised that the numbers were 50/50 and OSU just outperformed the ND fans like we outperformed their football team.

Unless you could get to someplace where you could see the fans in all of the stands at some time or another, it would be hard to make a good estimate. As a marching band member looking into the stands from field level pondering this very question, I put my guess at about 55% Buckeyes, 45% Irish. The small section of stands in the open end of the stadium, was probably about 80% buckeye fans, and there were significanly more buckeyes on the ND side, than there were Irish on the OSU side. The were some decent sized pockets of scarlet in their upper deck that allowed the O-H-I-O cheer to work around all sides of the stadium.

It was all nice to see as we were more significantly outnumbered by KSU fans 2 years ago (our fans were louder for that game though) I guess the quick return and less than traditionally stellar opponent made that game a little less attractive to buckeye fans.

I was in the last row in the end zone, so I got a good look at the entire stadium. tOSU fans outnumbered ND fans, but no way was it 2-1. It was a definite majority, but I don't think it was even 60% tOSU.

Between 55% and 57% is a good estimate.
