Famous Bands/Singers That You Hate...

Sure, Ringo was a shitty vocalist, but Octopuses Garden and With a Little Help From My Friends were pretty popular songs. At any rate, the Beatles can NOT be judged based on WHO they let sing. Lennon and McCartney both were great, they just differed in style, which, ultimately caused the bands demise. There are many great songs that came from that band that were truly collaberative efforts, and were very good. Consider that without the Beatles, the Stones would not have had the foot in the door that they did. There is really more at stake here than simply disliking their music. Hate it if you want, but rock & roll would not be what it is without them. Helter Skelter. First song that broke into the genre that we now call heavy metal. Paved the way for COUNTLESS mimics and other bands that would not have even been givin a chance. I am biased, but I am torn between them and Led Zeppelin for greatest BAND of all time.

You are right about Helter Skelter. The first time I heard it, I asked "what industrial band is that"?

I'll preface this by saying I'm 27 (28 tommorrow) years old. The Beatles, I can't stand them. Bob Dylan is unlistenable, Elvis is nearly as bad. All country music. Recent singers I dispise.....Madonna, Celine Dion, Britney, Jessica, Clay Aiken, and finally my arch nemesis BONO.

Going back to the "classic" rock for this one. I can't stand Yes. The pretentiousness in their sound is sickening.

While I'm at it, another "classic" band I hate is Boston. I never liked their music (similar reasons as for Yes) and I came to hate them intensely when a friend of mine surprised me with tickets to see them at Polaris a few years back. (Where in the hell he thought I would like to see them in concert is still a mystery!) The worst fucking concert I have ever been to bar none. Every song sounded like the studio version.

Nickelback.......The world would be better if they broke up.

Creed............(One of the best day's of my life was when I heard they broke up)

Kenny Chesney.......make up your mind, country or generic reggae country.

Aerosmith............Just go away.

New Rolling Stones.........(See Aerosmith comment) Besides, they should be enjoying life at the retirement home playing shuffleboard by now.

50 Cent.........I get the fact that you were shot 8 times you fucking idiot

The game......(See 50 Cent comment)

Pretty much anything that's played on 97.9 here in Columbus......

Atreyu's no longer good, people. Buy their first album, toss the rest in that massive conflagration over there... Ya that one I started for people who don't write their own lyrics or music.
For those of you that hate Rush; you won't have to listen, just read: "Art as expression, not as market campaigns..." If you didn't write it yourself, it's not music. I have an idea: if you want to sell sex, be a model or a movie star. Later in life you can have your very own state to run...

I can't stand Disturbed. They're Brokeback Mountain gay.
Ummm... Mike Jones. Anyone who's from American Idol.

Led Zeppelin. Anyone want to turn up Robert Plant's mic yet? C'mon guys, stop drowning him out. Almost every member of the band's overrated in the talent section, not the least of which is John Bonham. Jimmy Page was good, but he's no golden god of guitar. There's about 20 guys from his time that were as good/better than him. Some are still doing it. I don't hate them, I hate the way they're liked so much for a lot of the wrong reasons. Greatest musicians of all time? Ha.

I'd torch 95% of the country music scene, too.

I hate people like Bono, Celine Dion, and others more than just musicians. Bono's so pompous, he probably fantasizes about himself while he's fuckin' groupies...

Some of you people are funny. "I hate the Beatles and Elvis and Led Zeppelin..." What do y'all think of Miles Davis? Marvin Gaye? Hank Williams, Sr.? Mozart? Chuck Berry? Woody Guthrie?

Why don't you guys direct your hatred toward acts that actually deserve it - Like Billy Joel, or any band that wears masks or clown makeup (excluding KISS)?

A coworker of mine was talking trash about Bono one day... He goes, "Who the fuck is this Bono guy, and why is he doing halftime of this football game?! That motherfucker couldn't even sell out Kuss Auditorium!"

Kuss Auditorium, for those who don't know, is the performing arts center for Clark State Community College in Springfield.

I replied with, "Who the fuck is Bono?! He's that guy that's on EVERY IPOD BOX. Sell out Kuss Auditorium?! Bono could buy that place with money in the ashtray of his limo. Bono has sunglasses worth more than Kuss Auditorium."

Davis - ok
Marvin Gaye - brilliant
Hank Sr. - brilliant
Mozart - the best ever
Chuck - ok
Woody - ok

And my distaste for the Beatles, and now that you mention it, Elvis, and my reasons why are none of your concern.

The following would definitely appear on my most hated list:

TI
The Game
Big & Rich...eh, anything country except for Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings
Anyone who is a "comedian" or "actor" and thinks they can sing
Anyone who is a "singer" and thinks they can act
Creed
Mariah Carey
Anyone affiliated with P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Puffy, Sean Combs, or whatever his name is...
Gospel music
