Just discovered I can't run it (this building a new PC every 3-4 years is getting old) so I started a new game of New Vegas. I'm envious (and really want to be convinced it's worth upgrading).

That's what I get for trying to shave $10/mo on my Internet costs by downgrading to a slower speed. The 6 hour window I want ultra fast Internet once every three years ... I'm too cheap to pay for it.

Steam seems fine. This is on Bethesda for not making the .exe modular enough to be playable when the download is at 18 of 24 Gb.

Probably right but from previous experiences but not with steam. It's usually the guy providing the content

Not sure about steam but Xbox let you download it a week or so in advance so it was ready to go right away.

Only played 2 hours so far so I can't give an accurate review but so far the console graphics aren't impressive. Gameplay is pretty smooth so far and no major glitches so that's nice.
