I think UFM's use of Tebow in short yardage and redzone situations predicts how Tate will be used (back when Tebow was not the starter).

I read on one of the threads where someone said they learned their lesson about being too hyped because they thought the 2015 team could go down as one of the all-time great‘s in college football. That’s true. I also thought of that potential. Still, when you look at all the weapons on this team and imagine everything coming together, the potential is there for a dominant season.

Definitely shows he can play and isn't afraid of big moments, but starting a game that for whatever reason isn't going your way ( I mean getting the piss knocked out of you, getting fustrated from sacks, off target throws, receivers dropping passes etc.) and seeing if he can bounce back....that type of adversity is a bit different. We know he's talented...what we don't know is if he has that type of mental and physical toughness, he very well could...we just don't know yet. That's all im saying my guy

Same, I had extremely high hopes for Victor...I remember saying he had a lot of AJ Green-esque characteristics to his game and his potential is through the roof. With his size and athleticism, he would add a dynamic to the outside that we do not currently have on our offense. It also seems that Haskins has taken a liking to Victor...part of me thinks Victor is just blooming late, but another part wonders if JT just didn't have the trust in Victor that Dwayne has. We shall see.

And I am starting to wonder if Tate is just having himself a huge fall camp, or if we are just trying to scare the shit out of our opponents by showing he can come in and light up a defense with his arms or legs :lol: The throws they have shown are things of beauty...that dime to Gill is an NFL throw. Really hoping the clips they have shown are indicative of how he is playing overall, I feel like we will need Tate more than once this year.

I hear ya. That said, ain’t nobody in that QB room that hasn’t had games go like that for them at this point in their playing days. I’d suggest that’s a less novel situation than some of the things he faced at tsun.

My confidence is high that he’ll be just fine.
