Fall Camp and Other Tidbits

There will come a time when Martell has to go in to win a game so he better be made ready and warm. I'm starting to belive in his ability to do just that. It will still be very hard for any Big Ten team to go undefeated and that could sink any playoff hope. And then you'll see 2 SEC teams in the playoff again.

Heres the thing with Tate... he wins. Straight up thats all he knows how to do and IMO if given the shot he would find a way.

Tate is ripping it, might be the most exciting development from fall camp. I have no doubts that he could come in and win games for us if necessary. Thought of course that he would be used in special packages but with the throws he is making, I really don't think you would have to change the base offense from what we will do with Haskins. Aside from that, I think he is going to contribute a lot regardless of whether we "need" him to come in or not...you already knew he would likely get on the field with his athleticism but with the progress he's made in his passing game, there is just no way a team could bank on him just coming in to run the ball or flex out to receiver.

God I cant wait to see Tate run a read option after the other teams defense see's Haskins all day. He is going to make defenses look completely stupid.

Usually in the blowout games where the 1’s play a half and sit out I usually find myself wanting to see them again in the 2nd half some but I will be anxious to see the 2’s come in with the talent that sits behind the starters. Not going to be good for the opposing teams when they have to face our ‘back ups’ with Tate and co.
