Debating whether I want to/should do that as well. Haven't had it installed on my phone in...probably about 3 years now, and haven't used the website more than a few times the past 3 years, and my usage started dropping significantly about 5-6 years ago so I feel like I might actually not have much that I care about out there for them at this point.

Downloaded mine too. I’ve not been on for a couple of years. Didn’t find anything beyond what reminded me I closed my account (which you never really can close). Did find some things that were missing as well as some pictures that didn’t belong to me. They better hope that with all the attention they are getting, their downloads don’t start pushing one person’s data to someone else. Talk about the potential for a security breech / embarrassment.

Went through my activity log tonight and deleted every post, like, and picture; unfriended every friend, and deactivated my account. Going back to Web 1.0.

If anybody needs me, I'll be coding the next GeoCities or Angelfire homepage hosting service. Maybe with a slick PERL chat room that doesn't record anything after 100 lines of text. It'll be HTML 2.0 compliant and fully compatible with Netscape Navigator & NCSA Mosaic.

Recent events have only confirmed what I already knew: Web 2.0 sucks. Fucking millennial twats with infinite-scroll everything and tile-everything that looks like a shitty Windows 8 Metro home screen, and the only way to comment on anything is to link a Facebook account.

Fuck that.

I'm officially in full-on rebellion mode to the current state of the World Wide Web.
