I'm going to put on my tinfoil hat and say that Zuck has little say. Have you noticed that when sites like Facebook, X, YouTube, Reddit and others become big they suddenly clamp down on free speech with the excuse that they want to keep it advertiser friendly? Bullshit. These mediums of communication are monitored and censored for the purpose of controlling the dialogue. Even 4chan which used to be the last bastion of free speech has been corralled and moderated to the point that most serious threads get removed and most of the users are bots, shills, feds and other operatives. It hasn't been worth going to for years and I already deleted all of my bookmarks to that site. There was a lot of shit there but also a lot of really good threads and topic but no more.

And......as we head into Presidential election times, there will be more censoring, and the 'left' disparaging Trump, and the 'right' opining what a wasted four years Biden has had. All true, maybe. All lies, maybe as well. I, for one, do not believe much of what I hear, and very little of what I read. Have been chuckling on The View, when those five left-wing hens bring on some really conservative folk, Ben Johnson, Kellyanne Conway, and they not only stand up to the vicious tirade, they come out winners. I do ask myself why someone would subject themselves to that useless banter. Neither side will change their opinions etc. Yet when Whoopie, and the other outspoken gal are told 'you lie too much', TV does nothing. Maybe the rating whores like them? Not as sophisticated a tirade as yours Dub, but in my limited world, OK.

I haven't watched TV in many years, sometime in the mid 2000's I cut my cable. I'd check out dvds from the library, hated paying for any of that crap but there were a few good shows. I haven't been to the cinema since Straight Outta Compton came out and the only TV I see are selected clips on social media. Unplug yourself from the Matrix, you'll see the world in a new light.
