I have no FB account. When the idea was presented to me, my thought was that I am a boring person. I go to work, I go home, I care for my elderly parents, I work at whatever Honey Buns wants me to do on days off, and I go to church on Sunday morning. During the week outside of that, I may see a HS sporting event, volunteer at the juvenile or common pleas court, mentor the kid I have been assigned from the JC, or do pre-marital counseling. Beyond that, I'm watching sports on TV, a few regular TV shows, or helping neighbors. No one needs to know any of that - or wants to. More importantly, I don't have the time to get involved in other boring people's lives.

On the other hand, my wife has been contacted thru FB by my former college friends/roommates, old childhood friends, long lost cousins, and other people from my past that I had lost track of in the busy-ness of life. That's been pretty cool. Most importantly, since my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter moved to Phoenix last fall, it's a good way to keep up on what they are doing. But I haven't joined because of all the reasons in the first paragraph - and my wife's account gives me access to all I want to know. Sorry, Mr. Zuckerman.

Oi, mostly I avoid FB. I originally used it for business but gradually personal contacts crept in. And extended family (looking at you Ohio). Since Trump was appointed emperor I've been getting a lot of (actually really hilarious in a sad way) shit like this:

http://conservativepost.com/video-a...n=PC&utm_medium=PC&utm_term=PC&utm_content=PC

And it is always accompanied by some foreboding comment. WTF? Urdu=middle east=ISIS? Yeah, 2+2= apocalypse.

I wonder if they read the Chomsky essays I share with them?

Looks like Donny can scrap the idea of adding electrified barbed wire to the top of the wall--didn't stop these guys from getting through.

We're doomed.

Leftist media har, har, har. This gets posted to my FB. As I know a number of people in Paris and was pretty sure there wasn't a Muslem uprising I used FB's fake news option. We'll see what that does. (BTW the text of the article is kind of, sort of accurate...but it is pretty damn obvious that those who fall for fake news generally don't go beyond the headline).

Yeah. My wife and I are having Thanksgiving dinner with my side of the family and not visiting hers.

Did you let your wife reply for you? That could have been some fun.

Cases of mistaken identity, is that what it is, can be fun. I think I shared an experience when I lived in Morrill and some girl kept calling our room insisting that I was her boyfriend. After like four or five calls I broke up with her.
