Thank you, Facebook. I really, really DID NOT want to know about WWII Exploding Anti-Tank Dogs.

People exploding I'm OK with, but not dogs. :sad2:

Freakin' Commies.

But one interesting tidbit from the wiki entry on anti-tank dogs:

Another serious training mistake was revealed later; the Soviets used their own diesel-engine tanks to train the dogs rather than German tanks which had gasoline engines.[5] As the dogs relied on their acute sense of smell, the dogs sought out familiar Soviet tanks instead of strange-smelling German tanks.

Never been a fan of eliciting the cooperation of animals that have no comprehension of what is being asked of them, dogs, horses, cats, dolphins, whatever.

I disagree.

Facebook has become virtually useless with the News Feed changes lately. Now that everything my friends "Like" shows up in my news feed, it has become impossible to find the content from friends or family I might actually want to read. Everytime I check FB, my feed is essentially now every single thing The Onion has published on that day, political articles, and links to sports blogs for teams I don't follow.

The entire News Feed is now spam. Haven't been on as much in the past couple weeks. Just complete, hot garbage.

Yep, every other fucking "story" is spam. Ever since I read an article by Larry Elder, I get about 12 of his articles per day in my feed. What I did a while back, which unintentionally cured this problem, was to create a custom list of friends composed of those who either have trained with me in triathlon clinics or have done races with me. It's a big list (172 of my 422 active friends), but I get zero spam posts in this feed. And since they're the ones I usually want to hear from most, it's where I go right after I log in. I'll hit the normal news feed first to weed through other shit, but then I go my custom list and park there for the rest of the day...no spam shit at all.
