Did the questionnaire.

Also, ran across this dandy little free app--Facebook Purity. Joyfully, something good HAS come out of the engagement of Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis--turns out that announcement will be the very LAST "trending news" I ever accidentally glance at on my Facebook page. Someone was annoyed enough to ask the question "How do I turn off trending, because I don't give a rat's ass about this garbage?" and the answer was: Facebook Purity. (Not to be confused with the Purity of Our Precious Bodily Fluids which so preoccupied Commander Jack D. Ripper. No thermonuclear holocaust should result from its use.)

For anyone who may still want to use Facebook, but with less clutter and distraction:

Thanks to everyone who helped my daughter out with the survey, we all appreciate it. I seem to recall that at one time there may have been a general social media thread that included, twitter and LinkedIn as well, but I wasn't able to locate it utilizing any of the search engines.

One comment on social media that I have noticed as of late is the mixing of outlet purposes. For example, I don't view Facebook and LinkedIn as the same type of social media sites. I see Facebook as more of a personal site, with a modicum of business/professional uses. On the flip side, I see LinkedIn as the business/professional site. What I have noticed lately is a blurring of the lines between them, especially on LinkedIn which appears to have more personal scenarios being brought up on an regular basis. This in my opinion is weakening LinkedIn and reducing its effectiveness as a business/professional outlet.

I find myself unfriending more and more people on facebook. In the last few weeks all the sudden a guy I use to work with has become one of these conspiracy people, who says no matter what you can not trust anyone in the government etc. And of course if you don't agree with him you are just a stupid "sheeple"
I also have this cousin who just loves to over share but at the same time has no idea what she is talking about. Example...my grandmother is not doing well. Dementia, Hospice, etc. Well this cousin keeps putting stuff on facebook about how last right have been performed it's just a matter of hours till the end etc. So I call my parents wondering what the heck is going on, to which My mother tells me that its not true, that as of right now she is stable but not doing great. Ugh!

The only part of facebook I take seriously is the private chats with my close friends. Pretty much everything I post for the public is either a funny picture or trolling. I have a cousin that's one of the overly sensitive Oprah lovng types, I troll the shit out of her. The other ones are the global warming fear, anti-Monsanto save the whales homos, they're fun as hell to troll.

This chick is seriously fucked up. She just came out of the closet as a lesbian which if fine but she put her husband through hell. First she was then she wasn't, she'd leave him and go back because she was afraid of people finding out about. I only know this because my mother had the inside scoop. She's had a seriously drinking problem since she was a teen but she blames it now on the stress over her sexual identity. I once pointed out to her that both her mom and dad were serious lushes as is her brother and she went off on me. She also has a daughter that she had by some one night stand when she was in the Navy that has some serious issues. She's pretty much covered her body in tattoos and piercings and is pretty much a walking petri dish of STDs. She once posted a picture of a parent publicly shaming a kid for misbehaving and I pointed out that sometimes the parents need to be publicly shamed for failing their kids. She didn't like that shit one bit.
