Huge blast' at US shopping mall

A large explosion has hit a shopping centre in the US state of Illinois. Six people were taken to hospital after the blast, which blew the top off a shopping centre in Waukegan, north of Chicago, police said.
It was not clear what caused the explosion above a mobile phone shop and hair salon, the Associated Press news agency reported.
TV footage showed a collapsed ceiling and shattered shop windows as emergency services rushed to the scene.
Fire crews from several towns were helping with rescue efforts, searching to see whether people are trapped inside the building.

It would be a a bit of a ....letdown.....for the terrorists to only be able to claim a 6 man kill after the bar was set so high in New York.

It's either "Bob's Fertilizer by the Pound", or "Eileen's Candles for Every Occasion". Couldn't tell which.

Or a pissed off teenager. When I saw the building, foreign terrorists being responsible pretty much went out the window.

A strip mall with a pizza chain, video store and a tanning salon isn't exactly related to globalization.

When rescue workers first got there, there were human forms with clothes on, but missing heads and arms laying in the street.

They were mannequins from the tuxedo store, I've seen the video. And they're saying it's a gas leak.
