There is a casino program with games including 10-player Hold 'em, and it uses vcash... might be fun.

That sounds like something I'd enjoy very much. After reading this thread I looked at pogo to try and see what Euchre is all about and after a few games against robots I got the basics down and would be willing to give it a go.

Not sure about adding anything here, folks... might interfere with the arcade or tax the system too much. Have to confer with the big dawg to see what he thinks, but in the meantime I'm looking at the euchre plan.

iPlay would be willing to help us set up tournaments, but it's $20/year per member after the trial period. Kind of defeats the purpose of helping to support BP...

I'll be delving more into the Pogo option today.

That Case's site seems to be a rating system for groups or individuals in groups that play on one of four suggested sites hosting the games -- which end up being the same ones (for the most part) that we read about above.

I think what Deety is pointing to is the following:
- No cost for BP -
- Possibility of monetizing for BP - (might have to be handled in a separate accounting?)
- Multiplayer with BP reserved / exclusive seating

Suggestions that meet (some) of the above requirements ...

GZGames Java Client - Free, can make exclusive tables on the fly - Java, severs already in place. Monetizing for BP would have to be on the honor system - but, are we not all honorable?

BidEuchre - seems to be a variation on Euchre, 6 players, not regular 4 person table, have not downloaded or installed - clients available for all major OS. Free, not sure if you can make it default to the regular rules (seems not) . Multiplayer capacity uncertain. Not sure if a separate "server" instance would be needed.

Worst case scenario is that it has to be a prolonged event...

Buy-in for however much.

Then we work a bracket out with partners...(that erases the rotating partners however).

In the bracket we set time limits for when games must be completed. Failure to show up can result in a forfeit.

We decide on a format...I like Pogo and Yahoo is usually good also. The players set up their own tables and play.

Results are reported by both teams and we record and move on...

Or we work it as a round robin format and the total number of points is the winner.

I'm in. At least until I'm required to be somewhere at a specific somewhen, at which point I will apparently invent an excuse worthy of applause in order to fail to show up, and thereby live forever in infamy.

Why don't we just do this in person for locals at the Buttocks place? It's much easier to invent an excuse for physically being someplace than it is for only being at an internet site.
