ESPN's Training Days- The Ohio State University

This team just has a different feeling to it - not necessarily better or worse, but different.

The coaching staff is no longer filled with a bunch of soft old white guys that are bland and seemingly boring. We no longer have a coach that is vanilla to the media with little national publicity into our program.

Our head coach speaks his mind no matter what. He does the same to the players, pulling no punches with hard love. He invites the media to our program for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sleep overs. Our coaches are young, fresh, can relate to the players easily. This gives our guys, IMO, a bit different drive in practice. Our team isn't set up for a "three yards and a cloud...". Its high speed, high tempo, and still hard hitting.

Its going to be an interesting season to see unfold.

My favorite part of the series is when Vrabel is yelling at Simon saying something to the tune of: "Get off the field, you aren't good" Obviously Vrabel likes to have fun with him.

Yeah, Im assuming he told Johnny to sub out and Simon likely replied with "Im good." And thats what prompted Vrabels awesome comeback.

Indeed. I am also very interested in seeing if we'll be running a pro style set at any point, and also how we're preparing to counter Michigan's supposedly pro style :sick1: offense.

Just watch the Fla vs. OSU NC game and you will see what a fast defense might do to a "pro" set offense. Denard<Troy Michigan receivers< Gonzales Ginn

Yeah, just watch when Tressel actually decided to run the ball and how we fared against UF's run defense.
Being fast isn't everything, you still have to hold your own in the trenches. UF's speed killed on the edges.
Not between the tackles.

Then again, let's not act like tOSU fielding an actual offense that night let alone anything resembling a "pro style" unit.

A dominant pass rush and great corners is a pretty good start against a pro set offense

Anyone notice Coach Meyer's quirk of not completing his sentences before running into another sentence? Its pretty amusing.

I noticed it first when he was yelling about the guy in the blue shirt, he said: "get that guy an Ohio State we dont wear blue here."

(....Yeahhh...Im bored and everything else has seemingly been talked over a couple times. lol :tongue2:)
