Head Coach
I was listening to the Espn Radio on the way home from college and Colin and Beano Cook where going threw who they thought was number 3 in the nation behind the USC, and Oklahoma. They went threw teams and finally the Colin said he thought the team that should be number 3 is our buckeyes he said "We always win, and we especially play well against the good teams." Beano cut him off in the middle of something else he was saying about our bucks by saying "I couldn't disagree with you anymore". He said the big ten wasn't a good football conference? Is this man stupid, Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Michigan,Minneasota, Iowa, and occasionally a team shows up like last years Michigan State team to surprise people as well. My question to you guys is what do you think of Colin saying we should be number 3 and what do you think about Beano Cook?

I think #3 is pretty generous, but I don't think its completely outta whack like beano suggests. Also about Beano Cook I think he's a moron who honestly doesn't like OSU, and or the Big Ten for that fact.

I'd like to see where our offense was ranked when clarett was here. I'm pretty sure it wasn't in the top 10, and you know what? We only won the national Championship that year. Also I never said we deserved the #3 I said it was a generous spot by Colin who said we should be Number 3. I do agree however that you could definatly agrue the point that Ohio State would do just fine in the number 3 spot. As far as Penn State goes. They'll still give us all we can handle we already know that, as well as michigan, and Iowa. So realistically you could still put them up there for atleast this year. Why is Michigan a bad affect? they do this every year don't they? now yes they haven't been blowing out teams like they usually do, but damn welcome to Ohio States world Michigan.

I think OSU is just fine at #6. but if 28-2 over the last 2 years doesn't speak volumes to you why they could be mentioned for that spot, well NOTREDAMECHIEF then I'd hate to see what you think of your Irish.

With the way your offense has played do you really think OSU should be in the top 3??

Michigan is really having a negative affect on Big 10 so far...
I don't understand peoples logic behind trying to rate the entire Big 10 based on M*ch*gan underacheiving. If "they" lose, how does it make the Buckeyes, Boilermakers or Gophers any less of a team until they face each other head to head. We really have no idea how good or bad Notre Dame or SDSU is yet. This early in the season, its is nearly impossible to determine conference power because all of these powers playing I-AA teams and limited inter-conference meetings. In reality, its very difficult to determine conference power until the entire conferece season is over and the bowls have forced showdowns between conference powers. If our conference struggles all season and then lays an egg in the bowl games, you can talk about the Big 10 being weak. Right now, look at the conference winning % and I think we are near the top.

Well we've outscored the other team 28 of the last 30 games, so I'd say our offense is doing good enough. Beano Cook is an ass. Somebody needs to put him out to pasture. That's where creatures that produce that much BS belong, anyway.

Stupid is as stupid does

Our offense will be just fine. Eliminate the mistakes and put in the freshman at Tailback and we're really fun to watch if Tressel takes the reins off and allows for Zwick to do something. People who got a chance to watch us for the first time last week didn't see anything. I'm not making excuses, but Tressel doesn't have to answer to anybody. If he doesn't feel like zipping it all over the place and allowing the D to make it so there's a W at the end of the game he can. If anything, that type of win is a display of might, thus saying, "Look. I'm beating this talented team with one hand tied behind my back."

People are stupid and they say stupid things. There is as much pound for pound talent on our offense as on ANY offense in the country. This is a drastic difference compared to the last couple of years. I may be the only seeing this, I don't know. We're just younger in terms of experience and prone to mistakes and even the most or more talented teams can lose games that they shouldn't when mistakes are too prevalent. There are any number of examples of this.

The way this schedule shapes up, we should win EVERY game, and then, even if nobody thinks were any good, it's not going to matter very much what they think. Living in South Florida, I'm hopeful to get to entertain visitors from the north come January.

actually....most people on this board know that if we need to score points to win then we will. if we dont need to then we wont. outsiders dont get that but people on this site do.

you think we would play a miami or a oklahoma the same way we play NCState?

Buck87 - you should maybe make a few posts before coming out with the insults. NDChief has his obvious flaws, but he didn't say anything inflammatory. This issue is a concern for many Buckeye fans, and I, for one, am concerned over having an ineffective running attack combined with an inexperienced QB. As far as Beano's comments go, he is an idiot, but after the last couple of weeks, it is pretty hard to argue that the B10 is a powerhouse conference. Hopefully things will turn around, but scUM's loss to ND and near-miss against SD State, combined with ASU pasting Iowa, makes the Big 10 look bad.
