I don’t understand the constant incessant need of sports writers to rank things in the off-season, but they do, even writers I like at places like 11w do this to pass the slow time. Good for them if in the process of writing a useless article they can manage to shit all over a bunch of 18-22 year old kids who worked their asses off to achieve something they dreamed of.

11W didn't write it - they were lampooning ESECSECSECPN for an SEC fluff piece which was done entirely to piss of the Buckeye fanbase and generate clicks.

I was commenting about my dislike for sports writers’ incessant need to rank things and that even writers I typically enjoy like those at 11w keep ranking random things when there isn’t any news to write about.

That's fair, but even beyond that general complaint, this is an exceptionally stupid example of the played out trope. I would imagine putting OSU dead last was done with the specific intent of garnering OSU fan heat (they were talking about this on The Fan today too) when we could all come up with a half-dozen true worsts In 10 seconds.
