It might not be over for the SEC, either, if the league that has won the last five BCS championships in football decides to add a 14th team or even expand to a 16-team superconference.

There was a plane crash in Russia that killed an entire KHL team. Undoubtedly one of the most tragic stories in sports history, maybe the most tragic in all of hockey. They've barely talked about it. BUT PEYTON MANNING IS GOING TO MISS A GAME, WHAT A TRAGEDY!!!!!

They must have a focus group of unemployed goobers just off camera through which they screen all content immediately before it is read on the air. That is the best way to hit the lowest common denominator all day long.

World Wide Leader E S P N

Greetings...long time observer of buckeye planet, 1st time poster. I am 25 years old. My childhood worship of ESPN was consistent to my junior year of college. Around that year the Green Bay QB soap opera started and their "coverage" started to bother me. Around that point, I noticed when I turned on ESPN I wanted to bash my tv with a shovel. Now comes the buckeye propaganda. I've never been more heated with the channel than tonight. Allow me to offer the manipulation of information. Buckeyes struggle today. "Buckeyes barely escape", "Buckeyes survive scare". All other SEC teams..."Late game heroics lead to win", "Auburn wins in dramatic fashion". ALL OHIO STATE GAME HIGHLIGHTS ON THE SATURDAY NIGHT SPORTSCENTER WERE TOLEDO TOUCHDOWNS, AND A LATE OHIO STATE FUMBLE. THE ONLY OHIO STATE SCORE THEY PLAYED WAS TO SHOW WHY TOLDEO WAS BEHIND IN THE 4TH. Was there any other Top 25 team with highlights showcasing their opponents highlights? No one turns on ESPN to see Toledo highlights. All Toledo scores besides the 2pt conversion were on SC. I needed a forum to vent, but did anyone else notice the blatant hatred. It is becoming comical. Hate ESPN. Go Bucks.

I caught that. They also made a point to say "Toledo matching Ohio State's speed" on the long Eric Page TD.

And just before that, while doing the UGA/SC highlights, the guy said something to the extent of the SEC has the best athletes "on the planet." REALLY?

Hey ESPN, go to fucking hell.

I noticed exactly the same thing regarding their "highlights". They didn't bother showing Hyde's TD but did show R Smith's "dropping the ball" (the fumble caused by a helmet on the ball).

Yup, yup, yup. Unbelievable. Its obvious because last week Auburn dismantled the athletic powerhouse Utah State. NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND...Georgia put a hurting on the Blue Turf Broncos also. Keep that in mind.
Then they go on to show the 22 points from Toledo of 2011 is the 3rd most points from an in state school in a game against the Buckeyes. Today puts the Rockets right behind Oberlin and Case Institute back during prohibition. Of course that's the key stat they have been waiting for below the Mason-Dixon Line. Y'all finish up your Taco Bell 4th meal, bring in the youngsters chained to the trampoline and call it a night. Them Buckeyes been exposed.

I'm just getting back from vacation, and was listening to E$PiN Radio. Apparently they do a radio simulcast of their "Gameday" program, so I got to hear all sorts of wonderful nuggets of wisdom.

My favorite, from the second biggest idiot on the panel (Fowler, right on the heels of Desmond "giggle bear" Howard.)

FOWLER: Hey, this is a big game for Ohio State. I mean, they lose today and their streak of 100+ appearances in the polls ends. Because, if they lose, they definitely drop out of the top 25.

HOWARD: Definitely. Definitely.

 So, if tOSU goes on the road and loses, despite being underdogs, they drop out of the polls? From 17 to out? Come on. Idiot. This is very similar to the Baylor/TCU matchup, in that it isn't gonna shock anyone for either team to win. TCU went from what, 15 to 23?

Fuck them.

[censored] them.

I must be an idiot too, because I tend to agree with him on this. I'm not saying that I think they should drop out if they lose, I just think they would.
