And the best part is we know who other teams want so we can trade ahead of them to steal their players... :sneaky:

To the Raiders: Yes, it worked.

Man, I just don't like that site at all. It's a pain in the ass to just look around. It isn't designed well. Even though it means there's practically no chance in hell of the Browns even picking before the real draft, I'd still like to see it moved back here.

I am also up for either a restart or moving the draft at the beginning of the 3rd round. I think the biggest problem is not having a queue available to rank the players that you want if you are going to miss your pick. At least doing it here, you could pm BN27 or the like with your pick and be assured of getting your choice.

Most of the issues with straight drafting on the MyMockDrafts site (with the exception that stxbuck is mysteriously blacklisted) come down to a couple of things:

1 - Timing:

By which I mean that you have to be there on-line to make your pick within a given window.

2 - Execution:

True, some of the execution difficulties do come down to ability to connect to the site when on work hours -- perhaps the user is excluded by firewall for instance. In which case an alternative means for an admin to pick in place of the listed user would help? Might also help with Timing issues. Can't do that now of course.
But, candidly, there may be some truth to this post on MyMockDrafts.com ...
People need to really learn how to check this site, this is getting annoying.

And as he also said here - participation is the key ingredient. I mean, we could in theory wrap up any round in less than a day - as long as there is a serious intention to participate - regardless of the site on which the results are posted.

I think the majority has spoken in favor of a re-do. However, I think one thing that would greatly help would be for everyone to make a top-5 big board for their pick (let's at least try for the first round). Send that into 27 (or someone), and then if you're around for your time slot, you can make an adjustment for someone who slid down to you.

We could even cut it down to 4 hour time-slots since there will be an insurance policy of the commish plucking a choice from your big board.

Pick for them. Three votes and they get the player nominated.

DON'T SIGN ON if you don't intend to pay attention. Perhaps any owners on the fence can get with a second person to draft, in case they're away from the site for a day or so.

And no, I'm not giving up Ellis and Thomas!!!!!
