We'll keep this thread here... maybe with another title... and start a new one for the re-do.

Everyone please work on a top-5 for your pick, as we work towards the next bp-oriented setup.

I think the majority has spoken in favor of a re-do.
Agreed - disappointing that we couldn't get it done at the other site, but agreed.

However, I think one thing that would greatly help would be for everyone to make a top-5 big board for their pick (let's at least try for the first round). Send that into 27 (or someone), and then if you're around for your time slot, you can make an adjustment for someone who slid down to you.

Don't you believe that with 5 picks available the need for an adjustment is - well - minimal? Just make your "wish upon a star" player the #1 on that list.

jwinslow;1116877; said:
We could even cut it down to 4 hour time-slots since there will be an insurance policy of the commish plucking a choice from your big board.
If we all abide by the 5 pick slate then I think 4-hour time slots is overly long.
We need to play catch up.
I'm for getting a round done per day.

Oh, yes and I think it would help to post up the current order using the following format if we can:

Team A - picks 1, 33, 65, etc.
And then the order normal for the current round, by team and by member assigned to the same.

Give a breather between rounds - post up remaining order and order for the next round - reflecting any changes by trade. I'll gladly help with the orders to be followed at the outset.

Alright, 27 has relinquished commish duties to me for the year, and my first order of business is to name Keith my assistant to the bp manager.

For the first round, here is my proposal:

***Send top-5 to jwinslow****
1. Top-5 list is consulted first. If usable, pick is automatically made.
2. If Top-5 is not available, PM is sent and 30 min window is provided.
3. After 30 min, first player to receive 3 nominations is selected.

How long should we give to get in the top-5 by PM? 2 days? After that time, team will be given to another user or run by BP mob.

Sandgk, if you could provide an updated order, that would be outstanding. Also, I think it would be good to include who was obtained for what trade, as DeAngelo Hall is a heck of a pickup with the 2nd round pick slot.

I think 30 mins is to short. Yes we want to get it done, but remember the actual draft is not until the end of april. I think 4 hours is a nice amount of time.

sandgk is working on the updated draft order in this thread...

Well, we could do 30 min for the first round, and a bit longer for the later rounds... that way we'd get caught up in a hurry. Having already done a round and being the 1st, it should require less maintenance from the owners vs the later rounds, with more players potentially sliding and lesser known prospects & likely draft picks.
