Eastern Washington Eagles (red turf)

Who's Eastern Washington?

A school that nobody heard of until they started pursuing a red field.

AD gets a raise for this one.

This just opens the door. Right now we are only talking solid colors. This is artificial stuff - so why not prints? A gray field with 6 foot scarlet Brutus silhouettes running diagonal across the field. Or full color, life size replications of OSU All Americans to confuse opposing defenses.

This wont really take off until we hire a gay AD.

A school 20 miles from the Idaho border that just figured out that painting the field worked out just fine for a school in that state.

Since, it's been almost 25 years now since Boise State went Smurf blue, that's roughly a tenth of a mile per year. Who said news doesn't travel fast in the inland West?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Football, on the other hand, should be played on natural green grass with a pit of mud/permafrost down the center of the field between the hashes. It should be 20 degrees and snowing, and the game should start at noon.

our all-time won/lost record would be 0-0 if we only played in those conditions.

sweltering heat and humidity under the lights is the way to geaux
