Early Departures for 2007 NFL Draft (merged)

This is somewhere else here today...I think someone put it in the thread: Ted Ginn, Jr. .....hope he stays another year but that is me being selfish....

I was looking for an appropriate thread to post this in, but didn't think any of the individual player threads would work. I think it is its own topic, but if it needs to be merged, I understand.

Ted Ginn Jr. and the Draft

A lot of the talk here has been Teddy is a top 10-15 pick. There is a lot of WR talent coming out into this draft. What order do you think the WR's will fall into and what destinations could you see Ginn landing.

Here are some possible first round receivers outside of TG.

Calvin Johnson, Jr. GT
Geff Smardzija, Sr. ND
Dwayne Jerrett, Jr. USC
Dwayne Bowe, Sr. LSU
Craig Davis, Sr. LSU
Sidney Rice, So. SC

Teddy goes right after Calvin Johnson.
Dwayne Jarrett
Sidney Rice
Jeff Samardzija

Haven't seen LSU boys play at all this year.

I think you mean these names:

Jeff Samardzija, ND
Dwayne Jarrett, USC
Dwayne Bowe, LSU

Personally, I'd rather let Ted play his last game and then declare before I speculate on where he'll go. Also, the draft order hasn't been set yet.

There is speculation for this all over the Troy and the draft board. Just figured I'd put it in it's own thread.

Good catch on Bowe

well as pure receivers id have to admit that most of them are prolly better than ted but im sure he could fit in on somebodys roster and obviously always be a return guy.

I'm sure a team wouldnt mind at all to have Teddy. Hes got great hands and he can blow by any defender. Returning the ball, he could be another Devin Hester. What he has is what any NFL coach would want.

Right now, I think Ginn would probably go after Calvin and Jarrett. It seems to me Rice and Smardzija have an outside chance of going ahead of Ginn, depending on everyone's pro day and the combine.

Well, we have threads on here speculating if Urban Meyer will be OSU's next coach so if that is allowed, I see no reason why this shouldn't be.

I think it's a fair question to ask.
