The Lakers have an aging shooting guard, point guard, and a walking hairy vagina for a power forward. Howard can't shoot free throws and he's been injury-prone lately.

Still taking the Thunder in the West. Howard will sign elsewhere next offseason and the Lakers will have to start over in the next couple of years.

You really think he'll want to leave LA? I don't. I see him as the attention whore who would rather be loved in a big market than anything else. No place else can offer him the kind of vapid adulation that LA can.

I think he'll bolt after their "super" team flames out. Kobe, Pau, and Nash all on the wrong side of 33.

I'm not so sure, over the past few decades the Lakers seemed to be the NBA franchise that could just reload (via free agents, trades, and/or the draft), i.e. in lieu of going through a rebuilding period.

Nash, Kobe, Artest, Pau, and Howard is a pretty formidable starting 5 regardless of age.

Dwight Howard reportedly wants his own Big Three in Houston - Deadspin

As if the bad bitches at the Galleria weren't enough, Houston is pulling out all the stops to make sure Dwight Howard is in a Rockets uniform next season. Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler were in the house to woo Howard, while Dikembe Mutombo and Yao Ming even popped in via Skype. Meanwhile, in Los Angeles...billboards.

At a meeting just after the negotiation window opened at midnight yesterday, James Harden and Chandler Parsons pitched Howard, and coach Kevin McHale promised that the team would be constructed around him. But one intriguing note is buried in this Houston Chronicle report: Howard reportedly asked GM Daryl Morey if the Rockets would be able to afford another max contract, beyond himself and Harden.

Idiot. No team will be able to afford 3 max deals under the new CBA. If all of the "Big 3" in Miami wanted to stay in Miami after next season it still wouldn't happen because it's impossible to carry 3 max contracts unless you have 3x the salary cap to throw at payroll. They even took less than the max to get it to work under the old CBA.

If you are over the cap you still wouldn't be able to bring in any roll players for anything other than the league min. The best Houston could do would be to find a Ray Allen type player that used to be a max deal type of player but is willing to take the min to win a title. If Howard signed in Houston they might be able to get a couple of those.

This is also a stupid question to ask a team that just cut or traded everyone they could in order to get under the cap enough to sign Howard. Where the hell are they going to get more money under the cap to sign someone else? I knew Howard was a baby, but I didn't know he was mentally retarded as well.
