This. I don't think we know who Luke is as a HC yet. The entire staff was in place when he was promoted, and you cut go chopping heads in the middle of June. We know about the defense but that was never gonna change, but the offense has been horrific at times without JT.

Honestly if Luke does get the job I except a lot guys to retire just because its their time. I think Bolls and Heacock are done, maybe even Doc. The defining moment off the field for Luke will be who he hires as the next offensive coordinator. I think the only sure fire guy to be held over is Drayton.

No love for Mike Vrabel?

I agree with all of that. Hopefully Drayton will bring some of the Urban Meyer offense without actually having Meyer as a head coach. The only one I would miss would be Heacock if he should retire. I would love to see the whole defensive staff back.

Yeah I was only reffering to the offensive staff. The defense staff is the best in football and doesn't need much tweeking IMO.

The thought of JH stepping down makes me sad... But I was sad when we lost FP and MD. All these things work out in the end. We are tOSU, not tsun. I am confident that the BoT will get this right.

Urban is a burnout. i don't want him. we'll be having another coaching search in five years if we hire him.
keep Luke and let him sort the O-staff out.
Bollman won't be fired. that's ridiculous and there's too much respect for him. but he will retire, and we'll see how valuable he really was.

Bollman will retire the same way JT, sorry, the same way Jim Tressel resigned. Forced.

Luke is definitely more comfortable in situations dealing with the press. Near the end of this 7-minute video, he gives Tim May some grief about not doing research before asking his question about 2 true freshmen QBs starting in the same Big Ten game, and tells May not to spend so much time on the Alabama-LSU game.

That's the political capital that comes with beating the once presumed conference favorites.
