One good thing about having Luke for this partuclar game and not Urban...he was with JT, so he KNOWS what works to beat these bitchtwinkies.
JT had a passion, drive, and talent to beat that team more than most men.

I know Coach Fickell has the passion and drive, I'm hoping some talent wore off. We need our best tomorrow.

I'd love, and I know Coach Fick, would love to go 1-0 vs. those guys- if it's the only shot he gets.

Proper motivation and knowing what buttons to push and what not to is 2/3 of a rivalry game I would think...Cooper never had it, Tressel absolutely had it, and now I am hoping it will carry over. Some coaches are just good in rivalry games...I am hoping Fickell will be one of those based on his mentor.

Luke has a chance to be the only coach in tOSU history to have a perfect record against the maize and blue. (assuming he doesn't get the job after Urban retires/leaves) I expect him to be fired up and excited for this game.

That is a GREAT f"ing post, bro. Luke isn't "Luke Fickell" any more, he'll always be "Coach Fickell" to me. From the day he walked on campus as a gangly looking DE who looked a little too thin to play big time CFB this kid has done nothing but deliver.

Coach Fickell, as maybe some do not know was probably the greatest Heavyweight wrestler in the history of Ohio High school Wrestling. If he had pursued wresting instead of football, would have been a multiple NCAA Champion.

With all that is "ON THE WAY" we as Buckeye fans should be jacked! I just hope that the next coach here has the brains to keep Coach Fickell on board as the next "coach in waiting." Having the best Coach in CFB having Coach Fickell studying under him for the next several years will make Coach Fickell the "perfect" man for this job down the road.

Enough rambling, just want to send a BIG TIME BUCKEYE SHOUTOUT to Coach and the team. Our record isn't great this year, but you are our "Buckeyes" and you'll always make us proud. We in the "nation" are 100% behind you for tomorrows game. We love our "Bucks" and trust in the coaching staff to deliver one helluva victory tomorrow!

:oh:

Peace

Good job holding the team together this season. Luke's a loyal Buckeye.

I'm 1,000-percent shocked he didn't pull a "Dennis Green" type rant after a game in 2011, so that's good on him.

Hope he has good luck wherever he ends up.

thank you coach fickell. You were dealt the hardest hand of any coach in recent history. I believe with your staff and full control you could achieve great success. Here is hoping that you are retained if a new coach is brought in!

Here are some stats for you that illustrate the firestorm Luke faced:

In 8/12 games this year, the guys played on Saturday were not the guys listed in the media depth chart.

In 4/12 games this year, the lineup changed after Friday's walk-thru.

None of those situations were decisions made by the coaching staff.
