Dublin, Ohio named one of the world's smartest cities

Could be worse. I've seen more red lights run in Hilliard in the last month than I had seen in any previous year.

You've never driven in Philly. I couldn't believe it when I first saw these signs, but after spending a few days there, I understood.

I can imagine a city like Philly would need one of those. The issue in Hilliard is all of the BMW/Mercedes/Cadillac/Lexus drivers that truly believe that they have another 2-3 seconds after the light turns red to keep going. "I mean, there is no way, NO WAY, that red light was meant for me. Do you know who I am?"

In Hilliard? No way. In Hilliard there are not enough of these vehicles to make a difference. Now if you'd said 10-year-old Chevies, I could see that. But not BMWs.

20 years ago maybe, but all the souped up candy apple primer Nova's went the way of the dinosaur over there. It's full of wannabe yuppies now.

Ok, So a friend of mine on facebook made a comment that tells me a lot.

He says "Hayden Run drivers: The roundabout is for taking turns, not 15 cars going in the same direction ALL going at once. Thank you"

:bonk:

for all intents and purposes, he is a great guy. A christian, a teacher, a youth league coach and someone I can honestly say I'm proud to know.

But this mentality is what causes people who know how to use the roundabout want to open fire on people.

A ROUNDABOUT IS NOT A FOUR WAY STOP!!!! Its not a "stop" of any kind if there is no need to stop. The signs say "yield" for a reason.

People don't understand what a yeild sign means is the main problem.

The problem with roundabouts is it causes people to have to look ahead and have to think and plan before they get to the roundabout which since they are to busy texting, while driving they can't do.
