Tommy should consider the Buckeye's NFL draft record for D.Tackles. OSU will bring in at least one noseman in 2012. Hale & Bennett are two strong D tackles, but neither are really over center nose-men. With constant double teaming, rotation is needed anyway.

Next year, Hankins will likely be moving to Strong-side tackle -- over Guard/Tackle. Goebel, who will be a 5th yr senior, will likely be the primary center position.

Fickle should be able to woo this kid.

According to the Chicago Tribune, 6-foot-6, 300-pound Chicago defensive lineman Tommy Schutt said he woke up Thursday morning planning to commit to Notre Dame only to have his scholarship offer abruptly pulled less than an hour before he planned to break the good news to Irish coaches. Schutt, the No. 1 prospect in Illinois and No. 29 prospect in the entire 2012 class according to Rivals, said Michigan also dropped an offer earlier in the day because it had already had a commitment from another defensive tackle, which may come as news to Wolverine recruitniks who have been wringing their hands over the alarming absence of defensive tackles all summer.

Two schools dropping the same highly-touted player in the same afternoon doesn't quite add up. More likely, when Notre Dame filled Schutt's slot with another commitment, he reached out to Michigan with whom he had had very little contact, according to a Michigan recruiting source, and likely did not have a solid offer to pull and was subsequently rebuffed. So "back to square one" he goes.

I get the guys general point, but when you're full at the position, you're full
at the position.

ND pulled in a similarly rated DT in Sheldon Day and were full at the position, and it sounds like Michigan probably has a silent commitment from either Ondre Pipkins or Danny O'Brien.

MAKE IT HAPPEN URB! While interior DL isn't necessarily a dire need with Hale and Bennett in last years class, we certainly have room for one if it is Schutt. Plus Bennett has played a lot of DE, so he is versatile. Schutt is one guy I was really bummed that we missed first time around, I would LOVE to see him end up in this class.
