Love it. To my knowledge, Schutt is the only DT we are going after that we have a legitimate chance with. To that effect, he is one of the best in the country. We have Bennett, Hale, possibly Tommy Brown (fresh.), Big Hank and possibly Bellamy could slide down (soph.), plus Goebel and Simon (jr.), so I really only see an absolute need for one true DT, so it may as well be a stud like Schutt. Two would be nice but one stud will work just fine.

Agreed. And I'd say that McMullen could end up being a Cam Heyward type that could switch between DE & DT without much of a change at all to his game, to add to our DT depth.

After watching his film, I'd say good comparison. Very similar stylistically.

Open Schutt: Glenbard West junior defensive tackle Tommy Schutt has an offer list that reads like a who's who of college football. Schutt, who added an offer from Vanderbilt late last week, is hoping to cut down his list of schools to six or eight by the end of spring or early summer.

"I'm definitely looking forward to making some visits and seeing more schools in person soon," Schutt said. "And that will hopefully help me separate some schools."

Schutt is expected to make spring practice visits to Penn State, Wisconsin and Florida.
