I don’t think its solely an NIL issue, but an issue of PT. And at this point, he’s a depth piece, and could fall further back on the depth chart. LJsr really likes Moore, and then you have Houston and MacDonald starting. And Kanu would be in a dog fight with Smith Jr. to even get any minutes. And that’s without including the freshman. His situation is similar to CSH, Both talented, but at year 3, and youre not even in the 2 deep, we can expect a guy to enter the Portal.

I imagine the devastation in California is making it even harder for guys from there with family experiencing trying times makes homesickness excruciating. Nothing but the best Hero and if you change your mind, then I'm sure Columbus will always have a place for you.

Bestbuck, Hero is from the central valley, coast mostly, and fires are nowhere around there. Open farmland, pastures and vinyards. California does have a cachet to it's homies, however. Maybe it's the avocadoes. He's a couple of hours from any real airports....but, agree, PT is key, to him or anyone really. New facet to portal stuff. 'Play me or I'll trade me'.

If I heard it correctly in an Austin Ward and Birm video, Hero is not eligible for NIL as he is not an American citizen. So the transfer may not be NIL-related.

Hoping that after he weighs his options he decides to come back. He would see a lot of playing time and it would be less wear and tear on his body.

Same here, he's got a pretty big opportunity with Tyleik and Ty leaving. He would play a lot and possibly earn a starting role, his time had come. Could be another motivation, but he would have been a big part of our DT mix. Also hoping he decides to come back.
