DT Doug Worthington (Official Thread)

The kid is taking his visits to please his father...but when it is all said and done he is coming to Columbus...
To be clear here, Worthington's father is very pro JT/tOSU. He is NOT trying to sway his son away from tOSU. However, he does see this recruiting thing as a once in a lifetime opportunity that he wants his son to fully experience.

I'm worried about NCAA problems so I'm going to keep Alabama open as an option.

That's like saying:

I'm moving and I'm worried about earthquakes, so I'm going to keep California open as an option.

I can't take it seriously that he's considering Alabama using his criteria.

He's a Buckeye!!

That was some funny stuff there, I almost spit coffee on my screen reading that. Thanks for the laugh...

desertbuck....

no i have not spoken with doug in a couple of weeks....but none of the updates since have really shown anything different than what we spoke about....

he is solid and barring a bombshell on tOSU (which is not going to happen)....he will be a buckeye....

very grounded young man with a great father who is very, very active in his recruitment.....

We'd better stick this thread too, as his commitment might be wavering....

Worthington said that he will announce his intentions to stick with his commitment to Ohio State or change his commitment to another school on National Signing Day (Feb. 2).

"I'll tell the coaches long before then," he said. "We're going to have some type of press conference, but it just depends on how they want it done. I'll let the public know on Signing Day."

Well at least the coaches would know in advance... not that it would matter at this stage. My hair is gonna start falling out.:paranoid:

Hopefully, this is just him wanting to grab some of the limelight that he missed out on by verbaling early.

I think he is just going to put all the rumors to rest and let it be known that he is a Buckeye, unless he knows some inside info on any possible sanctions. The news lately has led us all to believe that he is a Buckeye, and will be a Buckeye, and that there will be no penalties against our program. I will not be worried unless he publically says that he is wavering... but he has said he is solid in every single interview I have read so I have no reason to think otherwise.

BTW, news of this hasn't seemed to hit BN yet. There should still be good seats left, if you know what I mean.:wink2:
It has, thats actually where I first read it but I come here for real discussions....

I understand what you guys are saying in that he has always been solid in all of his interviews but for some reason, I am getting an eerie feeling on this one. Maybe its that House dressing from the Italian restaurant I had for dinner....

With this recruiting season, who knows what will actually happen. We could actually end the class at 15-16 or top out at 19.... What a crazy ride!!
