Welcome aboard Doug

In my personal opinion, albeit my opinion is stained through looking through scarlet colored glasses, Doug Worthington was the absolute model for how to handle the recruitment process for a marquee athlete.

As we all are aware, our beloved friends in Bristol have made things more than a little difficult for us, especially for people who don't live in Ohio and aren't privy to the "real story".

Doug initially verballed to us, then decided, with advice from his family (which appear to be an excellent support system) that he would be doing himself a great disservice if he didn't explore other options, just in case there was "fire to the smoke" (not to channel Mark May or anything)

He didn't lead either us, or any other program, on in any way, shape or form. All schools that he visited knew that he was solid on Ohio State, provided that nothing substantive arose from NCAA investigations. All schools that invited him to their campus knew they were the backup plan. At no point did he tell the other coaches that he was their guy.

For all young men who read this board, this is a fine role model for all of you.

I can't wait to see you come fall in scarlet and gray.

To me, it's amazing what Doug just pulled off. He committed early to OSU and then took visits to four other schools, and had every coach of those other schools saying negative stuff about OSU. To be able to stay strong in a situation like that and not let others sway you speaks volumes about this kid. He may be the biggest get in the class.

I have "Rivals" video for every recruit (that has video) in this class...exept for Worhtington.

If anyone could post the URL of his Rivals videos or post any vids of him that would be great.

i dont think it is illegal either becasue i see Chris Wells and Homan's Videos poster here too.

i would love to see worhtington in action.
