Any Evil Dead 1/2 or AOD fans HAVE to see this movie. The previews and trailers show nothing as to what its really like. If the main role woulda been given to Bruce Campbell, this woulda been Evil Dead 3. The GF and I loved every minute of it and laughed our asses off, while those around us in the theater didnt get a single bit of the movie :biggrin:
 
I would go so far as to say anyone who enjoys horror movies in the least needs to see this. Funny, frightening, entertaining, just really good. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's Evil Dead 3 or anything... it's very obvious Raimi is the director but that's as far as I'm willing to take any of that. Same brilliant style of directing a horror flick.

Exactly. I thought it was one of the typical throw-away shit horror movies.

Then I looked it up online and found out Raimi made it and it completely changed my opinion.

Well the script was written right after Army of Darkness came out, but was thrown on a back burner until now. Who woulda thought with him doing the Spider-mans :biggrin:

No Bruce in it, because he and Sam havent been on speaking terms for a bit. I guess they have recently made up, because they are working on the evil dead remake together. Bruce is producing it.

Agreed, but you it definitely has that slap stick horror feel to it.
