Dorial Green-Beckham (Tennessee Titans)

maybe it's just the video I've seen, but I haven't seen much spectacular footage. More of a big bodied guy with potential.

The same thing I saw in TY's film.

Seriously?

I've seen a longer highlight tape of him than what's available on youtube, but even the one from 24/7 is still pretty impressive. TY doesn't move like this kid....then again, no one other than maybe Randy Moss moves like him at his size.

DGB is already about 15 pounds heavier than Moss. I think Calvin Johnson is a more accurate comparison. Calvin has some serious wheels and weighs almost 240...

Dorial carries the word "freak" along with him at WR, the same way Terrelle did at QB or Lendak at... well... everything. Freaks of nature are just in another world as far as prospects go. That much mass at that height moving that quick catching those balls with the hands he has... unreal.

TY was my favorite player from our 2010 recruiting class. In HS, he was tall, very athletic, had great hands, and was surprisingly fast on film. He just didn't have the mass, the ability to break tackles, or the extra step of speed that Dorial has. That's no diss to TY. Dorial's just on the rare "freak" level as far as prospects go. TY's gonna be a great one and I think his coming out party will be this season. The Big Ten is gonna hate him the same way we hated MSU's Plaxico Burress. It just won't be fair once TY starts to "get it".

Darnell Green-Beckham Diagnosed with Leukemia -kspr.com

Springfield, MO -

Hillcrest freshman Darnell Green-Beckham was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Tuesday night, February 22, 2011 in Springfield, MO.

The 15-year old was immediately sent to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Green-Beckham will undergo surgery Wednesday and is expected to stay at St. Jude's for six to seven weeks before returning to Springfield to undergo chemotherapy.

The illness was first discovered after Green-Beckham suffered from hip pain last week.

Acute Lymphosblastic Leukemia is generally found in children, most common in ages 2-5. Malignent, immature white blood cells continuously multiply and are overproduced in the bone marrow. The overall cure rate in children is about 80%, and about 45%-60% of adults have long-term disease-free survival.

Green-Beckham is a standout basketball and football player at Hillcrest. He is the younger brother of all-state wide reciever Dorial Green-Beckham. His adopted father John Beckham has been head coach of the football Hornets for 3 seasons.

That's terrible news about his brother. Hopefully they've caught things early enough to boost his chances. Though I don't know that leukemia is really a "catch it early enough" kind of disease. It's never fair when kids have to be subjected to things like this.

Agree 100%, my prayers are with the young man and his family.

247 $ - Family first for Green-Beckham

4/20

His adoptive father talks about how the family has been dealing with Darnell's Leukemia...have been to Alabama and Mississippi but have not visited as many schools as they had orginally planned...also interested in local programs like Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas.

"Local programs"? I get Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri, but Texas?

Drive time from Hillcrest High School, Springfield, MO to Austin (D. K. Royal Stadium) is 10:29 (and you have to pay tolls)
Drive time from Hillcrest High School, Springfield, MO to Columbus (Ohio Stadium) is 10:38.
