My first car was an old Chrysler Gran Fury State Patrol car. I used to go the to grocery store parking lot and do donuts. The only way I can do it in my current car is backward. Damn front wheel drive.

Have you tried the national chains like Dunkin Donuts? They have those up here, but they have a different name. I forget what it is because I don't eat donuts often.

I don't know about Dunkin Donuts, but at Tim Horton's, I believe they're called Big Johns... (yeah, I know... a creme filled stick named 'Big John' - I blame Canada).

I'd assume Tim Horton's has those everywhere...?

My driver's ed teacher in high school would go out with us during study hall and let us spin around the parking lot to practice. That skill has served me well many times, although not much lately! He was a hell of a good dr. ed teacher.

yeah and when i had drivers ed, the class went to an airport one day for a field trip, and we would get in these cars and floor it on the airstrip. they would have us buckled in pretty good and a helmet with an instructor in the passenger seat, but we would get on the airstrip and get up as fast as we could, and then we would get up to around 80 in another drill, and then have to swerve out of the way of cones and then slam on the brakes and all kinds of accident-avoiding drills. it made you piss your pants at first, but it was one hell of a field trip.
