Ah, the old, "You can bang a black guy but just don't bring any black guys around or take pictures with any" defense to racism. Don't know how to even begin to explain the racism to you because you'd do anything not to see it.

They may or may not. This is a pretty unprecedented case here. The NBA may have its own bylaws, but they very well may be superseded by actual law. Sterling doesn't seem like he cares about the money, the man is old, senile, and has cancer. I don't think he would have any trouble in his mind fighting this thing and costing the NBA as long as he can...

The "actual law" is contract law. These were all sophisticated business men. Extremely doubtful he's going to be able to get around a signed agreement.

Agreed. Not at all surprising... especially given the fact that most people already knew he was a racist.

What's worse.. beating your wife, or dropping the N-bomb? One gets national attention, the other is glossed over. Our societies priorities are outta whack. I haven't seen one dude stand up and say "fuck you Donald Sterling, I don't want your money." I mean, he has all kinds of equal housing lawsuits against him, his racism isn't exactly breaking news.

I think you'll see a few guys willing 2 play somewhere else for less money as this lawsuit plays itself out. The Clippers are last on the totem in free agency going forward so long as he's the owner.

Fuckin' Magic Johnson preaching is ridiculous, too. Being racist is worse than sleeping with hundreds of women behind your wife's back and contracting HIV? I wish someone would have stood up from the African American community and said "ya know, this is terrible, but we've all made mistakes." Instead, all Magic wants is to buy the team. This is exactly how fools like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton become millionaires.

I just want to make sure we're clear here: Sterling admittedly pays for sex with women who aren't his wife. But Magic is the asshole here because he got a lot of pussy when he was famous before he got married? Gotcha!

Also, and I hate to point this out, but I don't really care if Donald Sterling is breaking God's law (One of the TEN Commandments I might add) by blatantly committing adultery, but does he have to do it so brazenly in public? I mean, how do I explain that to my son?
