Donald Sterling and his comments

I will have to say I agree with Sterling when it comes to Magic Johnson. That guy is not a good role model at all for kids or anyone really. The man went around sleeping with so many women that he contracted HIV. Plus this really seems like a case of extortion here if Magic is eligible to buy the Clippers.

Honestly I laugh at Sterling's interview though. I am not sure whether to cringe at his "appology" or give him a high five for not bowing down and pretending to be something he isn't... which is he is not sorry for the words only the results. I still don't think it was that bad and still don't think he should be forced to sell his team, but it appears the NBA witch hunt will take him out. I not so secretly hope he and or his wife sues the NBA and that hoe V. for this honestly.

A face piercing is a specific thing that I don't have as much experience with, and it isn't as big of a deal at the places I have been. More of the issues I am experienced with are girls who show up looking all "slutted out" (yes, an ugly way to put it, but I don't know how else to say it) like they are going to a Miami nightclub or guys who show up looking like a bum who just rolled out of the gutter. Now do those...specifically...disqualify someone from being capable of doing a good job? No. But presentation often correlates with an understanding of what the business is, how customers and co-workers will view a person, and frankly, how seriously that person takes the job and what their intentions are from it. That isn't a race issue, it isn't a class issue, it's a business issue. Everyone here, from the Orderlies to the Custodial Staff to the Food Service workers to the PIs to the Doctors to the Nurses to the Office Staff, are all expected to present themselves using certain guidelines, because we are a customer-oriented business. If you want to show up to job interviews looking like a slob to "prove" that appearance doesn't equate to performance, be my guest...but that will be a very uphill battle because you likely aren't going to get the chance to. This is not directed at you, but if a person smells like they just got out of a sewer, or if they look like a Gary Busey mugshot, or if they start using words like "bitch fuck cock balls ass dick cunt beaver" when talking to a customer...that's bad business. Period.
Cool. None of this disputes anything I've said.

so magic is a horrible person for sleeping with a lot of women, but you're on the fence about sterling because he hardly hides his blatant racism?

Not a horrible person but certainly not a good role model. I don't know Sterling personally, but judging from the whole audio tape feed what he said was not racist. Ignorant and insensitive sure, but nothing he said made him a racist...

Eh I don't really agree with what he said on that audio tape no. I just don't like the witch hunt that's going on in the NBA. I don't like how Doc, the LAC organization, or the NBA acted like they had no clue how he was. I don't like how an illegal act is contributing to downfall of someone. I am quite sure we all have said dumb things behind closed doors. Yes we do not own NBA teams etc etc, but what he said wasn't that bad. I also don't like the disparity in this nation between perceived racist actions. White people in this country feel that you socially have to act outraged over a racially disputed topic in favor of blacks or else you will also be labeled a racist.

Fact is, all he said was some ignorant stuff to his gf. See no reason why he can't ask his gf to stop showing up flaunting those men etc.

We want equality in this country ( I do) we can't act one way for gays or blacks etc if we aren't going to do it when it's on the other side.

The "fact is", this isn't the first go-round with Donald Sterling and race. The man is scum - he's a slum lord, he's clearly disconnected from his entire franchise, he's absolutely the worst owner in all of pro-sports and he's clearly a whore-mongering racist.

Only if she wears that nose. We would also need Peter North as Donald Sterling and someone to play the guy she wasn't supposed to "bring around" to make a full length feature. Not sure who would play Bielema, but I imagine most of the porn stars of the early 90s look like him now.

Hedge.

Hog.

I think that he's a horrible person but so are many other people involved in the league so why punish him. I mean look at the arrest rate amongst the players  If there were any code of conduct whatsoever this league probably wouldn't exist.
I also think it's a dangerous precedent for punishing someone for a thought crime. Just look how the left is going around screaming at people that they don't agree with. That kid in the ASU video, when the man holding the sign said "this man assaulted me!" the little bitch screamed "your sign is offensive, it was provoked assault!". When you feel justified to harming someone physically due to a difference of opinion you have lost any sense of morals. It's gotten to the point where the people who stand up for the marginalized have become more dangerous to society than the alleged "bigot, homophobes and racist". They've come to start screaming at people that they don't agree with "kill yourself, I hope you die!" Am I the only one who see how fucked this is? This is how genocides happen. If the government were to round up people who don't think PC and gas them the the Jews in Hitler's Germany these people would be all for it, convinced that it's best for society.

you just went from discussing racism in a sport to a conspiracy of mass genocide committed by the government in a few sentences.

If they were to announce that they were going to take Sterling out back and put a bullet through his head and then round up the rest of his ilk and do the same I bet there would be a decent percentage of the population that would not only go along with it but would help sniff out and report them. It.could.happen.

And he's also done a ton of shitty stuff in the past.

Maybe it's more sad that it took an episode like this to finally have any substantial action taken against him.
